Academic Programs
Showa Boston is the study abroad campus of Showa Women’s University in Tokyo, Japan. Our academic curriculum is inspired by our mission to help students develop their English proficiency, cultivate their cross-cultural awareness, and foster their personal growth. Our courses are student-centered to promote active participation and engagement, and also follow an experiential learning model which encourages field trips, guest speakers, as well as project-based research assignments. Our out-of-classroom activities empower students to seek new opportunities to engage meaningfully with local people and gain transferable skills that they can take back to Japan.
